What advice would you give to your college self?

Be more experimental, try new things, and don’t always play it safe.

How would you define “values?”

My values are defined by my faith which includes being merciful and helping others. St. Teresa of Calcutta embraced the values that I most cherish, doing for others and loving one’s neighbor as oneself.

What does the Rosemont Mission mean to you?

There are things that we embrace that feel like they are part of the mission but were not actually written down. The Mission has not really changed for me even though it's had some updates over the years. The best parts of it are still there, joy of learning, respect, etc.

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?

Although I don’t wear them, I would like to be a three-inch stiletto as I would really like to be taller.

Would you rather have two tickets to the Super Bowl or two tickets to the White House Correspondents' Dinner?

I’d love two tickets to the Super Bowl, but only if the Eagles were playing!

Campus Involvement: Library, Hosting lectures within the Library Reading Room

Name 5 things you love (other than your family) or love doing?

  1. Quilting
  2. Reading
  3. Crossword puzzles and Scrabble
  4. Taking a nap after Church on Sunday
  5. Spending time with my grandchildren

What goal are you currently trying to achieve?

I’m trying to eliminate all the books In the library that have never circulated so we have more study space. It is a slow process as I take my time evaluating the books and making sure it is something that will not be requested. In my quilting life, I’m trying to finish all my UFOs (Unfinished Objects) and WIPs (Works In Progress), i.e. quilt projects that I started but have not quite completed and if I’m not going to finish one or more of them, then I’ll give it away.

Who or what inspires you?

St. Teresa of Calcutta inspires me as she quietly helped others. She was patient and giving. She did unto others as she would like others to do unto her.

Where is the furthest place you have traveled?

Probably Austria, but on the way there we had a layover in Iceland.

Favorite college memory? (from which college?)

My favorite college memory from when I attended Marywood University (it was College when I went there) was participating as a music violin minor in the pit orchestra for various musicals. I really loved the excitement of the whole thing especially when all the pieces of the performance fell into place.
