Rosemont College to Convene Podcasting and Audio Publishing Experts

The Graduate Publishing Program at Rosemont College invites you to Conversations in Publishing, a workshop and panel discussion on an audiobooks and podcasting.

Saturday, February 9
11 am – 1 pm
Gertrude Kistler Memorial Library, Rosemont College
Free and open to the public

Attendees will learn about producing and publishing audio content, what drives audiences to particular podcasts or audiobooks, what skills are in demand in this area of publishing, and more.

“We are grateful to have such talented professionals talking about what it takes to craft and distribute good audio content,” said Marshall Warfield, Director, Master's Degree Program in Publishing. “While podcasts and audiobooks occupy different marketplaces, they both compete for our ears and attention. I think bringing these professionals together will make for good conversation and insights. One moment we may cover the big differences in the revenue models and a few minutes later the panelists will be sharing tips on how to move a narrative from a bunch of pages to a set of headphones.”

Panelists:

Megan Fitzpatrick, senior director of marketing & publicity for Hachette Audio

Caitlin Garing, executive producer at HarperAudio

Heather McDougall, project manager WFMT Radio Network

Chiquita Paschal, independent arts journalist and podcast consultant
