Madeline Miller to present Author Talk

Norcini Lecture with author Madeline MillerMadeline Miller, author of The Song of Achilles and Circe, will present an author  talk on Tuesday, Feb 18,  7 pm, at Rosemont's Rotwitt Theater, 1400 Montgomery Ave, Rosemont, PA 19010. The talk, this year's Norcini Lecture, is free and open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public.

Madeline Miller’s The Song of Achilles, her first novel, was awarded the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a New York Times Bestseller. Miller was also shortlisted for the 2012 Stonewall Writer of the Year. Her second novel, Circe, published in 2018, was an instant number 1 New York Times bestseller, and won the Indies Choice Best Adult Fiction of the Year Award and the Indies Choice Best Audiobook of the Year Award, as well as being shortlisted for the 2019 Women's Prize for Fiction.  Circe is currently being adapted for television series by HBO Max.

Madeline Miller, https://madelinemiller.com/, has a BA and MA from Brown University in Latin and Ancient Greek, and has been teaching both for the past nine years. She has also studied at the Yale School of Drama, specializing in adapting classical tales to a modern audience. The author lives in suburban Philadelphia.
