On January 28th, the newly-formed men's volleyball team hit the courts for their first match in history. Traveling to Reading PA, the student athletes faced off against Alvernia University. Joining the roster of men's and women's sports teams at Rosemont, the team is led by head coach Russel Love. Along with his formidable experience as a college athlete, Love has over thirty years of volleyball coaching at both the high school and collegiate level. Read more
When walking through Rosemont, you’ll likely ran into Butch Brown during one of his many rounds across campus. For more than five decades, Butch has been a familiar presence in our community, overseeing many responsibilities to ensure campus operations are running safely and smoothly. Butch retired at the end of January after 55 years of service at Rosemont. Read more
Sister Veronica Openibo, Society Leader of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, will deliver the address at Rosemont’s 97th Commencement on May 16th and will receive an honorary degree at the Ceremony. Sr. Openibo is an educator, religious leader, and public speaker. She has a special relationship with Rosemont College as the Society Leader of the SHCJ. Read more

The Board of Trustees of Rosemont College is pleased to announce the appointment of Jayson Boyers, EdD as the College’s 14th President. Currently the President of Cleary University in Howell, Michigan, Dr. Boyers will assume office on July 1st, following the May 31st retirement of President Sharon Latchaw Hirsh, PhD. Read more.

Madeline Miller, author of The Song of Achilles and Circe, will present an author talk on Tuesday, Feb 18, 7 pm, at Rosemont's Rotwitt Theatre, 1400 Montgomery Ave, Rosemont, PA 19010. Alumna is validating her education and purpose one community at a time. Elizabeth Russell ’18 was simply looking to be part of something. It was freshman year and she wanted her time at Rosemont College to be meaningful, active, and spent with others.
Jennifer Zoga, Assistant Professor in the Business Department at Rosemont College, piloted a Start Your Business Incubator program last semester. Designed for students who are serious and ready to become entrepreneurs, Zoga interviewed and accepted this year’s cohort of three who worked throughout the fall semester to write their business and financial plans and prototype their Minimum Viable Products (MVP).
“Reflective Journaling: A Portal Into the Virtues of Daily Writing,“ an article written by Rosemont faculty member Steven Portman, EdD, was published in The Reading Teacher, a professional journal for educators, published monthly by the International Literacy Association. Portman is an adjunct professor in the College’s graduate Education program and teaches in the PK-12 Reading Specialist Program.
Kenneth Romanowski CFP®, CTFA, MBA, Adjunct member of the Business Administration faculty in the School of Graduate and Professional Studies and Undergraduate College, Rosemont College, has been named to a panel of experts for WalletHub.
Rosemont alumnae, Jessica Morales Rocketto, was picked by Hilary Clinton for the Time Magazines TIME 100 Next, a new list and part of the TIME 100 list. The List spotlights 100 rising stars who are shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, science, health and more. TIME 100 Next profiles are written by more established influencers, including TIME 100 alumni.
The November 16th Grand Opening and Dedication of the magnificent newest building on campus. The Community Center, which is more than 73,000 square feet in size and extends from the current Cardinal Hall, will provide the campus with informal gathering spaces, and areas for large and formal events.
Four former science students came back to visit and share their recollections of their Rosemont days. They credited their ability to transition from a undergrad to medical school to their Rosemont Experience. All were very involved in a variety of activities at Rosemont. Part of this was due to the small college atmosphere at Rosemont, which allowed each of them to hold leadership roles.
