Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 7:30 pm, The Women’s Sacred Music Project (WSMP) and Rosemont College will present the premiere of a new chamber composition, “Mothers of Moses,” with music by Rene Orth, libretto by Ellen Frankel, in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception on the Rosemont College Campus. The performance will feature students of the Curtis Institute led by the composer.
An interfaith symposium with panelists commenting on the libretto text will precede the musical performance. This educational and interfaith outreach program of the College and WSMP is free and open to the public. A free “Meet the Composer” dessert reception will follow the performance in the Main Building.
At 6:00 pm a sponsors reception with cocktails and light buffet will be served in the Main Building of the College. Tickets may be purchased at several levels of sponsorship.
