Study Abroad in Belgium
Rosemont College students now have an opportunity to participate in a unique mutual exchange program with KU Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven), in Belgium, one of the oldest Catholic universities in the world.
Rosemont students are able to attend KU Leuven for one or two semesters while enrolled as Rosemont students, continuing to pay Rosemont tuition and receive their financial aid. Students from KU Leuven will have the opportunity to attend Rosemont under a similar arrangement.
Because of the similarities of programs offered in the English language at KU Leuven, in most cases, Rosemont Students will be able to maintain their plan of study. Business, Literature, Cultural Anthropology, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Political Science and Science are among the fields of study offered by KU Leuven. Courses taken at KU Leuven will be graded and counted as if they were taken at Rosemont.
During her own undergraduate program, Lisa M Dolling, Ph.D., Rosemont Provost, studied philosophy for a year at KU Leuven.
She said, “My time studying in Leuven changed my life in immeasurable ways. Not only did I receive a world-class education in philosophy, but I also had the opportunity to broaden my horizons in ways I never could have imagined. To this day, I consider Leuven my second home, having forged friendships that have lasted over three decades.“
