Global Studies Program

August 4th – August 15th, 2019

SGPS offers its students an opportunity to travel internationally and earn credit toward their degree program. The Global Studies Program is an in-depth experiential learning opportunity that affords students the appreciation of international commerce where participants will examine the implications of conducting business abroad from another country’s perspective. Cultural differences, leadership theories and practices, legal and ethical practices will all be examined during this program. Business site visits, pre/post trip lectures, and historical/cultural events make up the majority of the program with free time built into the schedule to travel on your own within and/or outside travel plans.

Important Tuition Change: Beginning in the fall, 2018-2019 academic year, all students of the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) will be automatically enrolled in the College’s book and course material rental program, in partnership with the College’s bookstore, and will be billed accordingly.  The program provides a fixed charge of $25 for each credit hour for which a student is registered. That means for a typical 3-credit course, students will pay a fixed rate of $75 for the rental of all required books and course materials for that course.

SGPS students who do not wish to participate in the flat-rate rental program of the Rosemont College bookstore must opt-out of the program prior to the drop/add date of the semester by submitting the form located at  Students will receive a confirmation email after completing the opt-out form. The form is also available on the Student Services tab of the iWay.  If the student does not opt out of  the textbook program, their student account will be charged the textbook fee at the end of each add/drop period for the semester. Once a student opts-out of the program, the student will be removed from the textbook program unless he/she opts back into the program again.
