Aramark - Our Facilities Partner
The College has engaged its facilities partner, Aramark, to undertake enhanced cleaning processes on the campus during the fall semester. The goal is to build the confidence of the community that we are doing our best to maintain a healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
- DEEP CLEANING OF RESIDENCE FACILITIES
Prior to the arrival of our students, all residence hall rooms will be deep cleaned. This consists of a 2-step cleaning process which first cleans the spaces and then fully disinfects all surfaces in all rooms, using advanced disinfectants requiring very short contact times for full efficacy.
- DEEP CLEANING OF OTHER AREAS
Should there be a confirmed case on campus, the location in which that individual lived or worked will be deep cleaned in accordance with the abatement protocol outlined in the full Aramark proposal.
- DAILY CLEANING OF ALL AREAS
The College has elected Aramark’s “SpaceCareQL+” cleaning protocol for daily cleaning. This procedure includes the use of advanced disinfectants to daily wipe all horizontal and vertical surfaces in all office spaces, to frequently wipe all high-touch surfaces throughout all buildings (doorknobs, push bars, light switches, countertops, elevator buttons, hand rails, etc.). Additionally, floors will be spot-cleaned, with full sweeping or mopping if necessary.
- ADDITIONAL CLEANING OF RESTROOOMS
The College is investing in additional partner personnel in order that all of the public restrooms on campus will be fully cleaned twice each day. These cleanings include full disinfecting using the advanced disinfectants on all surfaces in the rest rooms.
- ADDED CLEANING IN RESIDENCE HALLS
With the additional personnel available, added cleaning will be scheduled in the residence halls later in the day to shorten the time between cleaning in those spaces.
- WEEKLY CLEANING
In addition to regular daily cleaning routines, all floor surfaces will be fully cleaned not less than once per week.
