Welcome to Christy Brennan, Student Success Librarian
Katie DuBoff - December 19, 2022
Rosemont alum Christy Brennan '12 returns to Rosemont as our new Student Success Librarian. She brings more than 15 years of experience working in public libraries and 8+ years of diverse experiences within public and independent school environments as a teacher, librarian, and technology coordinator.
Christy has a master’s degree in education policy and program evaluation from the University of Pennsylvania in addition to a bachelor’s degree in education from Rosemont College. Most recently, Christy has served as a middle school librarian in Lower Merion School District.
Christy is passionately curious about creativity, empathy, design-thinking, equity and innovation. She has a strong background in learning theory, curriculum development, pedagogical methods, and assessment tools. Christy enjoys working with colleagues and/or subject matter experts to design and develop in person, fully online, and blended learning experiences.
"I am looking forward to providing information literacy instruction, developing community outreach ideas, and helping to ensure equitable access to library resources in her role as Student Success Librarian," she said. "Having attended Rosemont as an undergraduate student, I am excited to return to the community that provided me with a strong educational foundation where I personally experienced the power of small."
When not at work, Christy can be found at local coffee shops, walking on the Radnor Trail with her fiancé, Jim, creating artwork or reading a good book. She is incredibly excited to join the library team!
