Employee of the Month: Liam Fennell, Coordinator, eLearning Services

Katie DuBoff - January 10, 2022

Liam Fennell photoLiam Fennell has been selected by the Rosemont community as our inaugural Employee of the Month! Please congratulate him the next time you see him on campus!

“I started working here in the Summer of 2007, although Rosemont has always been part of my life,” he said. “My parents met working here!”

Liam's career progression at Rosemont points to why he deserves this distinction. He has time and time again proven to be an accomplished professional and collaborative colleague.

Liam’s first role was in the facilities department painting dorm rooms. He then became the Media Services Coordinator in the IT department. Last year, his role was renamed and expanded to eLearning Coordinator within the Provost’s Office, and his duties include administrating Rosemont's Learning Management System, Canvas. Liam supports faculty, staff, and students both in physical campus spaces with AV equipment and online with Canvas and Iway.

“I'm lucky in that I get to help people all over campus in meaningful ways all day long,” he said. “No two days are ever the same, which keeps things interesting.”

Liam has also served as the backup campus mail coordinator. He spends his free time writing colorful novels and improvising on pianos.

The goal of the Employee of the Month initiative is to recognize faculty and staff who go above and beyond to make Rosemont a better place each day. Whether it is running across campus to help solve an IT issue for a class or setting up audio and visual systems for campus events and programs, and so much more, Liam has demonstrated that our community can depend on him.

Liam, we appreciate all that you do!
