Transfer Students

Application Process and Admissions Requirements
  1. Complete the application for admission. Apply now and your application fee will be waived.
  2. Submit official transcripts for all colleges you have attended and are currently attending (if applicable)
  3. Official high school transcript (only required if you have less than 15 credits that are transferable to Rosemont College
  4. Application fee of $35 (this is waived if you apply online.)
Acceptance to Rosemont College

Once your application file is complete, an admission decision will be made within 7-10 days. If you are accepted to Rosemont, a letter of admission including transfer scholarship notification will be mailed to you. To confirm your enrollment, you will need to submit a Decision Acknowledgement Form with a $300 deposit to the Office of Admissions. On the enrollment confirmation form you will indicate whether you wish to commute to campus or live in Rosemont College on-campus housing.

Transfer Scholarships

Rosemont College offers transfer scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic excellence ata previous college or university. You do not have to apply separately for the Rosemont College Transfer Scholarships. Completing your application file will automatically qualify your for consideration of these awards. You will be notified of your scholarship, if you do qualify, in your acceptance letter.

How many credits will Rosemont College transfer?

Rosemont College will accept a maximum of 80 transfer credits towards your degree.

How do I know if my credits will transfer?

Once you have applied to Rosemont and submitted all of your official college transcripts, an analysis will be made of your previous college credits. The Rosemont College Office of Admissions will then send you a transfer audit form which will list the credit that will be applied towards your bachelor degree program at Rosemont.

Rosemont College offers a number of NCAA Division III sports. Am I eligible to participate in a sport as a transfer student?

Transfer students may enroll at Rosemont College as student-athletes provided that they are eligible by NCAA III standards and have met the requirements for participation in the sport as determined by the Rosemont College athletics department. Complete an inquiry form to be considered as a student athlete at Rosemont College.

Do you have any on-campus events specifically for transfer students?

Yes. The Rosemont College Transfer Student Visit Days will offer you the opportunity to receive an immediate assessment of your transfer credits by one of our transfer counselors, to meet personally with a financial aid counselor, and to receive an “on the spot” admission decision if you bring the neccessary documents.

Is on-campus student housing available for transfer students?

Yes, although it is important that you apply and submit your college transcripts to the Rosemont College Office of Admissions as early in the process as possible in order to be assured of a place in on-campus student housing.

What is the biggest challenge for students transferring to Rosemont College?

It varies depending on the student, but a key concern is that you are able to balance responsibilities as an adult and that you understand the financial aid process. Make sure to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) so that a Rosemont College financial aid counselor can create a financial aid package for you.
