Rosemont College is one of a select group of liberal arts colleges to offer both a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. The Arts Division prepares aspiring artists for competitive professional work of art and design.


Sampling of Courses and Course Descriptions:

ARS 0101 Visual Fundamentals I: A foundation course intended to emphasize the basic principles of two dimensional space; objective analysis, systems of experimental manipulation; problem solving; and consideration and use of materials.ARS 0255 Typography: This course will focus on typography as a functional and aesthetic tool. Typographical language, structure, and usage as it relates to graphic design and visual communication.ARS 0211 Finishes and Materials: Emphasizing the need to understand the use of materials and construction for interior spaces, this course includes the study of measurement, finish materials, vocabulary, and codes.

ARS 0204 Figure Drawing and Draping: Using clothed and draped models, this course introduces students to figure proportion, movement, and fashion attitude. A range of drawing materials, including charcoal, gouache, ink and pastels are used.
