Major Requirements
Students who choose to major in Religious Studies will take 11 courses (44 credits) including the following: courses in World Religions and Sacred Scripture, Introduction to Catholic Thought, Christian Ethics, a Philosophy course approved by the advisor, and the Senior Seminar/Capstone course. As a core requirement, students will also take Foundations of Religious Belief.
Minor Requirements
Students who choose to minor in Religious Studies will take at least 6 courses (24 credits) including courses in Scripture, World Religions and the Catholic tradition.
In addition to the courses listed in the catalog, students and faculty pursue special areas of interest through independent study sessions and seminars; recent topics include: Religion and Contemporary Literature, Existential Questions, Christ and Culture, Women in the Bible.
Religious Studies majors and minors are also able to enhance their study by taking courses at neighboring colleges.
