The Division of English, Theater, and Communication offers the English major and minor, the communication major and minor, and the theater minor. The English major (minor) introduces the student to British and American literature through historical surveys, close reading of texts, intensive pursuit of a single author or topic (the seminars), and the study of literary criticism and theory.
Ways that students in English, Theater, and Communication have taken part in internships and study abroad:
Internships have been done at Running Press, Shooters, WPHI 103.9, Jane Dystel Literary Management, KYW 1060, Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, Clear Channel Communications.
Students have studied abroad at Trinity College, Dublin and the University of London.
