The Undergraduate College offers a number of opportunities to challenge the students attending Rosemont College. Among these opportunities are an Honors Program, Dual Degree (Bachelor’s and Master’s) options, and programs that allow student to apply early and be accepted into Drexel University’s College of Medicine and Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry.
Honors Program
The Honors Program allows students with a minimum SAT in critical reading and math of 1100 and a high school GPA of 3.50 or higher to participate in series of intellectually challenging and stimulating honors courses for students interested in a broad educational experience that extends beyond the standard curriculum. The Honors Program experience also extends beyond the classroom giving students the opportunity to attend lectures, museums, musical performances, and other intellectual and artistic events. Students also participate in Service Learning or civic engagement opportunities. An important goal of the Honors Program is to foster an awareness of social responsibility, particularly to encourage service for the public good.

Dual Degree Programs
Dual Degree programs allow students to begin taking graduate courses as early as their junior year and to transfer seamlessly to Rosemont’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Students who have at least 1000 in critical reading and math on the SAT and at least a 3.50 high school GPA can indicate they want to pursue this option upon enrolling in the Undergraduate College and declaring majors English, Communication, Business, Psychology, or Education. The English and the Communication majors in the Undergraduate College transfer to the Masters degrees in Publishing, English Literature, or Creative Writing. The undergraduate Business major will transfer to the Master of Business Administration. Undergraduate Psychology majors can choose to pursue a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling or School Counseling. Education majors can go on for a Master’s in Elementary Education. In their sophomore year, students submit a portfolio for review and interview with the Program Director in the Graduate School. When formally admitted to the Master program, they can begin taking graduate-level courses as early as fall semester or their junior year.
Students in the Undergraduate College can apply to the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in their junior year at Rosemont. While at Rosemont, students must choose either a biology or chemistry major and they must complete at least two writing courses, one year of Biology, one year of Organic Chemistry, one year of Inorganic Chemistry, and one year of Physics with the associated laboratories by the end of their junior year to be eligible for early admissions at Temple. Students are also required to take the DAT exam. Senior year requirements are satisfied on completion of the first year curriculum of dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry.
Rosemont College participates in two programs with Drexel University’s College of Medicine; a 3+4 Fast track Program and a 4+4 Early Assurance Program. Specific admissions requirements must be met in order to gain entrance to either of these two programs.
