Living in a Sacred Universe

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Location: Kaul Forum Classroom

Seen from the perspective of Jesuit paleontologist and mystic Teilhard de Chardin, the unfolding of the universe is a sacred story which has progressed from the initial big bang to the development of a noosphere, the appearance of reflective consciousness on Earth. Followers of Teilhard, such as Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme, have developed his thought to apply to environmental concerns, foreseeing a coming ecozoic age. Extraterrestrial intelligence may become a factor in assisting humans on this path.

Presenter: Dom Roberti, Ph.D.
