How to request a transcript

The Registrar's Office maintains academic records of all students who are enrolled for academic credit. Some of our areas of responsibility include:

  • Publishing of master schedule of courses
  • Conducting pre-registrations
  • Processing of drop/add course adjustments
  • Collecting grades, processing of grades and mailing of semester/session grade reports
  • Publication of the academic calendar
  • Classroom assignments
  • Scheduling of final examinations
  • Ordering of diplomas
  • Preparation of graduation lists
  • Publication of the Commencement Program Booklet
  • Providing letters of enrollment verification for health insurance and employment purposes
  • Verifying student enrollment for the National Student Loan Clearing House
  • Verifying enrollment for students eligible for Veteran's benefits
  • Facilitating inter-institutional registrations with Cabrini College, Eastern College and Villanova University.

How to Request a Transcript:

From on-campus: Transcript Request Forms are available in the Registrar's Office.
From off-campus: Transcript requests may be made to the Registrar's Office by mail or by fax. Fax requests are only accepted if your signature is included.

Telephone requests cannot be honored.

  1. Official transcripts bearing the College seal and the Registrar's signature are issued directly to the designee;
  2. Unofficial transcripts may be requested by students for personal use.

In your letter of request, please include the following:

  • Your signature (Required by law)
  • Full legal name
  • Previous names used; maiden name if applicable
  • Social security number and date of birth
  • Current address and telephone number where you may be reached should we have a question
  • Year of graduation or approximate date of last attendance at Rosemont College
  • Division(s) of the College in which you were enrolled, e.g. Women's College, ROCAD,
  • Graduate, Summer Sessions, ElTeC, Siena Program, etc.
  • Name, title, complete address of person/organization to whom the transcript is to be mailed

COST:
Unofficial - free of charge
Official - $5.00 per transcript; the very first official transcript is free of charge
Official transcripts to be sent to other divisions of Rosemont College are free of charge
Rush Official Transcript - $5.00 plus cost of Federal Express delivery depending upon destination.

If you have an outstanding student account balance, we are not permitted to release your transcript. Please check with the Office of Student Accounts.

FAXING REQUESTS

Transcript requests may be faxed to our office at (610) 526-2984. You must SIGN the request. ALL faxed transcripts are unofficial and if sent to anyone but yourself, should be followed by an official transcript in the mail.

SOME LIMITATIONS

Friends, parents, relatives may not request a transcript for you. Rosemont College adheres to FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) guidelines regarding the release of your student records. We cannot allow someone else to pick a transcript up for you without your written permission.

PROCESSING TIME

Every effort is made to process transcripts within 2-3 business days of receipt. Transcripts are processed in the order of receipt. At peak times of the year such as graduation and start of semesters, processing time may take longer. Please plan accordingly. We will do our best to assist you.
