What advice would you give to your college self?
You’re thinking too much. Act. And take your shoes off.
How would you define “values?"
I believe values are those personal concepts that you prioritize over anything, and consequently subscribe weight to when considering courses of action. They’re like asterisms. Every person, every community, every culture has their own values, and nobody’s wrong, they’re just different lenses to view the world through.
What does the Rosemont Mission mean to you?
The Rosemont Mission speaks to me on a personal level while pursuing “justice with
compassion.” It is simply not an easy feat and every reminder of it bolsters my endeavor
to be a better person than I was the day before.
If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?
If I were any kind of shoe, I’d be a plain black ballet flat. They’re simple, to the point, ubiquitous, and undeniably versatile. They are also kind of cute.
Would you rather be go to Pairs or Sydney?
Paris, because I’d willingly lose myself in the streets and never come back! And I’ll finally learn how to speak French instead of just reading it.
Name 5 things you love (other than your family) or love doing?
MMO math and theory crafting there’s just something so satisfying about doing the math myself, piecing ideas together, and trying it out.
Geography. Everything. The physicality of this space rock is amazing. I love being outside and doing anything outdoors.
Stories of all kinds, from personal experiences, to histories, to folklore and fairytales. This is the real reason I love theater, as a medium to tell these stories and explore the thoughts that come from them.
Weather Systems, by Anathema.
Playing the Jeopardy theme song through the sound system while experiencing technical difficulties.
What goal are you currently trying to achieve?
I just want to survive my twenties, and remember the date of the next meteor shower.
Who or what inspires you?
My grandfather, for so many reasons. He wasn’t rich or famous or particularly successful,
just a pleasant guy who drank a little too much and always knew the perfect thing
Where is the furthest place you have traveled?
The furthest I have ever traveled has been to London, England.
Favorite college memory? (from which college?)
I went to Arcadia University and my favorite memories are of my midnight walk-n-talks with my best friend. We’d prowl the campus, the local town, following footpaths, trails, and dilapidated road signage. Occasionally, we’d race the train and win. The Valentine’s Day Dance Snowball Fight of 2013 was pretty awesome, too.
