The Quilt celebrating the Sisters of the Holy Child's Foundation in the Americas 150 years ago is on display in the Main Reading Room in Kistler Library. There is an accompanying book describing the squares sent from all over the country and parts of the world.

Featured last week in National Catholic Reporter, Holy Child Sister Terri MacKenzie offers a Lenten reflection series from the lens of environmental spirituality. Each session connects the Sunday Lenten scripture readings with the wisdom of contemporary writers. The sessions highlight the roles of earth and trees in the week's scripture readings and how they connect with what God asks of us.

The SHCJ has posted its monthly meditation, with this month's honoring love since Valentine's Day is around the corner. Read the reflection then watch the video and share your thoughts.

The Office of Campus Ministry is collecting non-perishable food items and winter clothing for various community organizations as well as the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. Donations can be made from November 11 - 18 at the Minstry Office, which is located on the lower level of the Chapel.

Rosemont College was asked to participate in the making of a block for a quilt to commemorate 150 years of the SHCJ in America. All of the schools and institutions belonging to the SHCJ are represented in the quilt. Cathy Fennell, exectutive director of the library, created the Rosemont College block, which is the first block on the third row.

Please consider donating an item(s) to the Cornelian Service Corps.' toy drive being held in honor of Homless Children's Awareness Week, which occurs from October 14 to October 20. Donations can be dropped off in the Ministry Office beginning today until Monday, October 22. Donations will be given to the non-profit Cradles to Crayons.

Rosemont's Cornelian Service Corps. will be volunteering with the after-school program at The Providence Center - a North Philadelphia non-profit that was established in 1993 by Holy Child Sisters to continue fulfilling the educational and spiritual needs of the community - on Thursday, October 11.

Rosemont's Hertitage Days celebration begins on October 8 with a full calendar of events in honor of Cornelia Connelly and the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ).
