Volunteer with the Office of Admissions

Posted: October 17, 2012

Alumni of all schools and class years are invited to volunteer with the Office of Admissions to accompany counselors to fairs and school programs, reach out to prospective students, and help build relationships that will increase awareness about Rosemont. Recently, Tara George Basile '90 accompanied Assistant Director of Admissions Katherine Foster to the annual College Night program at Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast High School.

"I volunteered to support Rosemont in a way I never did before, by working a college fair alongside Kat Foster from the Admissions Office," Tara shares.

She continues, "It was held at my high school, Bonner Prendergast Catholic. It was great to be back on the campus and help Rosemont. Kat was fabulous and gave me a quick tutorial. She was there at all times so as I greeted high school juniors and seniors at the table, Kat answered most of the questions – making it a really easy and fun job for night. It was great meeting the next generation, talking to them about their goals and dreams, and helping them get the right information."

Tara adds, "You should call the Alumni Office – there might be a college fair in your neighborhood. Put on your Rosemont sweatshirt, and meet and greet! Rosemont Admissions can count me in next time they need some help in my area.”

If you are interested in volunteering to attend a fair or other opportunities to help the Office of Admissions, please contact Lauren McDonnell, Director of Alumni Relations, at 610.527.0200 ext. 2805 or lmcdonnell@rosemont.edu.
