Weekend Recap

Posted: October 31, 2011

It was an exciting weekend for Rosemont Athletics as the men’s and women’s cross country teams and the women’s soccer team participated in their final events of the season.

The weather added to the anticipation this weekend. The men’s soccer team, after taking the long trek to Hackettstown, NJ to play a “must win” game against the Centenary Cyclones had to return to Rosemont without playing the game. The game was re-scheduled and played at Neumann yesterday with the Ravens defeating Centenary by a 1-0 score to earn a first-round home game in the CSAC playoffs. Details can be found by clicking on this link.

CLEAR YOUR SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW! The men’s soccer team will be playing Keystone College in the first round of the playoffs. Rosemont will be hosting the game. Details about the timing and location of the game will be posted on the athletics site, but the fastest way to find out about updates is by following us on Twitter (@RosemontRavens) or liking us on Facebook (Rosemont Ravens).

The cross country teams participated in the CSAC Championship meet on Saturday. Under less-than-ideal conditions Klarisse Torriente starred for the Ravens, finishing in 5th place overall in the 6K race and earning First-Team All-CSAC honors. More details on the meet can be found on this link.

The volleyball team was originally scheduled to play their final game of 2011 this past Saturday, but due to weather conditions the game was rescheduled for 6:00pm tonight against Misericordia. The team will have another opportunity to bid adieu to their players who will be wearing their Rosemont volleyball jerseys for the final time (Karen Boyle, Ciara Figliuolo, Victoria Robinson).

Exciting times! LET’S GO RAVENS!!
