Rosemont College starts off the summer by offering retreats for talented writers and authors wishing to refine and enhance their skills and immerse themselves in their craft. Participants attending these creatively stimulating and intensive training programs can choose from weekend, weeklong or combination sessions led by respected professional writers and instructors.
Publisher’s Weekly reporter Gabe Habash recently interviewed Anne Willkomm, director of Rosemont's graduate publishing program, about digitial technologies' impact on the publishing industry, and how Rosemont's program is rising to the challenge.
Rosemont senior Ashley Montecchio was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player-of-the-Year for the 2012-2013 season and was also named to the All-CSAC First Team.
Graduate student Karen Kappe Nugent was recently recognized for her oil painting, “Breakfast Beginnings,” which earned the Rubenstein’s Painting Award out of over 150 professional entries.
Liz Coyne became the eighth woman (9th overall) to enter Rosemont’s 1,000-Point Club, and is the first student-athlete to reach the 1,000-point milestone in only her second season of competition.
Three Rosemont College seniors were honored February 11, the last Rosemont home basketball game of the season. Derrick Carter, Justin Chaney and Tremell Green were on Rosemont’s premiere men’s basketball team, which took the court for the first time on November 19, 2009.
Rosemont College is again participating in the annual recycling competition, Recyclemania, and has expanded several waste elimination initiatives on campus designed to actively promote the concepts of reducing, reusing and recycling to staff and students.
