Spotila is the Betz Chair Professor of Environmental Science Department of Biodiversity, Earth, and Environmental Science.

  • Paul Mojzes' Balkan Lecture March 31

    A native of Yugoslavia, Religious Studies professor Dr. Paul Mojzes offers new insights into the Balkan genocides, including a look at the unique role of ethnoreligiosity in these events and a characterization of the first and second Balkan wars as mutual genocides. Mojzes also looks to the region's future, discussing the ongoing trials at the International Criminal Tribunal in Yugoslavia and the prospects for dealing with the lingering issues between Balkan nations and different religions.

  • Titanic Passengers of the Main Line Event

    Join Kelly Wiles for a talk on the 1912 Titanic voyage that included a handful of passengers from the Philadelphia suburbs. Learn how the Titanic trip changed survivors' lives forever. There will also be an exhibition of books and images of the ship's interior from staterooms to restaurants. A recpeption will follow.     Congratulations to the 2015 Graduates of Rosemont College! Pre-order your Cap & Gown NOW through March 23 at www.herffjones.com/college/rosemont. Caps and Gowns will be delivered to the Bookstore and subsequently distributed to each student starting on April 27, 2015. In order to receive your Cap & Gown, you must be cleared by both the Registrar's Office and Student Accounts - all fees due must have been paid before receiving your regalia. Graduation attire will also only be released to you with proper ID (either student ID or driver's license/state ID).

  • Recylcemania Has Kicked Off at Rosemont

    Rosemont College is once again participating in this year's Recylemania challenge, which has kicked off and ends March 28. What can you do during this friendly competition among more than 300 schools including Villanova and Temple?

    It's easy - make a point to recycle everywhere on campus. Rosemont has a "single stream" recycling method, which means you don't have to sort your papers from your cans or plastic. Look for a designated recycling bin in your residence hall or classroom. Can't find one? Contact our Facilities department (x2152), which is located in the lower level of Cardinal Hall.
