As you well know, thanks to the incredible generosity of an anonymous alumna who gifted the College with $5 million last year, we have broken ground on two important projects --- the first phase of the renovation of Cardinal Hall and the reconstruction of our athletic fields.
At Commencement on May 11, 2013, alumni and employee legacies assisted with degree presentation for their spouses, siblings, and children. Congratulations to all the graduates!
On June 8, the Rosemont College Board of Trustees approved a new Strategic Plan. The new plan, which outlines our priorities through the 2017-2018 year, is built upon the tremendous success the College has achieved over the last five years.
Every aspiring writer dreams of the day they sign their first contract with a major publishing company. For many that dream takes years to realize; for some it never happens. But in recent months, that dream has become reality for several graduates of Rosemont College’s publishing and creative writing programs within in a few months of their graduation.
Beginning in June, six summer camps will be utilizing Rosemont's facilities. Many are returning to campus again this year while one camp is joining the Rosemont community. Please say hello to the campers and organizers should you see them around campus this summer.
As we are approaching the end of the fiscal year, June 30, it is time to think about winding down your financial activities so that the Business Office may adequately prepare for the closing of the current budget period. Purchases should be kept to only those items or services absolutely necessary for the remainder of the fiscal year. Otherwise, you should wait until July 1 to place new orders. It is imperative that you avoid special vendor arrangements whereby orders are placed now and invoices are mailed to Rosemont after July 1.

Diane Dalto, currently on Mayor Nutter’s Cultural Advisory Council, spoke at Rosemont's 90th Commencement on May 11. Dalto is largely credited with making the arts the focus of much of Mayor Edward G. Rendell’s revitalization of Philadelphia. Now available is her address to the graduates.
