Rosie in the Kitchen: A Rosemont College Community Cookbook

Recipe Submission & The Rosie in the Kitchen Art Contest Collection Ends Friday, September 5th, 2008

Start your mixers and preheat your ovens - it is time to make your recipes known! This year, Rosemont College is preparing a taste-tempting cookbook, Rosie in the Kitchen, featuring everything from tasty appetizers, to hearty main dishes, to scrumptious desserts fresh from the kitchens of members of our very own Rosemont community. Whether you are an amateur baker or an expert chef, we invite you to submit your BEST recipes this summer to be feature d in this one of a kind cookbook, scheduled to hit shelves this Christmas 2008 Season!

Organized by the Office of Alumni Relations, in conjunction with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, Rosie in the Kitchen will feature helpful cooking hints, unique Rosemont recipe category dividers, table of contents, index, and special pages of interest to our community, like a "My Favorite Rosemont" section that highlights special memories and favorite aspects of the Rosemont College community. Rosie in the Kitchen will be typeset in an easy-to-read format and professionally printed and bound, and ready for sale this Christmas! All cookbook proceeds will benefit the Rosemont College Annual Fund, which directly benefits the future of the College we all love so dearly.

In addition, be sure to mark your calendar for two Rosie in the Kitchen events this year!

In August Rosemont College will host a Rosie in the Kitchen Art Contest, inviting all art students from the Undergraduate Women's College and the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies to draw or design a picture of Rosie in the kitchen. All artwork submitted to the Alumni Office by Friday, September 5th will be voted upon by the entire College community and the winning design will be featured on the cookbook cover. All remaining designs will be featured throughout the cookbook.

Then, during the Christmas 2008 Season, the Alumni Office will invite all alumni, students, faculty, and friends who contributed to Rosie in the Kitchen to attend a Rosemont College Christmas Bash on campus. Here, guests can receive a special discounted rate on all cookbook purchases, exchange cooking tips, and display their Rosie artwork!
