Rosemont, PA-Starting Monday, April 7, Rosemont College will provide a backdrop for scenes in the upcoming feature film Tenure, a Blowtorch Entertainment production featuring Luke Wilson and David Koechner.

This is the new entertainment and media company’s first original production, in addition to marking the directorial debut of Mike Million, who also wrote the script. The film is produced by Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan, and Brendan McDonald. Exec producers are Kelly Rodriques, Richard Hull, and Dominic Ianno.
Tenure is the story of a talented, but misguided college professor (Wilson) who struggles to save his already faltering career when his college hires a smart, beautiful female professor as his direct competitor for tenure. Koechner plays Wilson’s best friend, an anthropology professor obsessed with finding Bigfoot.
“I am thrilled that Rosemont is able to welcome this unique opportunity,” said Sharon Latchaw Hirsh, Ph.D., President of Rosemont College. “I think it will be an exciting event for all of us to see Rosemont featured on the 'big screen' when the movie debuts!”
Wilson, Koechner, and other members of the production will be filming in Rosemont College’s Lawrence Auditorium, the Kaul Hall Classroom, the Tree House Lounge, and a classroom in Good Counsel. Filming will wrap up at Rosemont on Wednesday, April 9 and will continue in the Philadelphia area. Blowtorch (www.blowtorch.com</a>) is a feature film, media production, and distribution company that produces, finances, and acquires full-length and short form content. The company is focused on the young adult (18-24) market and distributes in traditional theatrical venues as well as internet and mobile platforms.
