Rosemont Students Recognized by Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute

Sunday, October 21, 2012 marked the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute's President's Reception held at the Stotesbury Mansion in Philadelphia. This annual event awards scholarships to Catholic students who attend the 12 local Catholic colleges and universities. Rosemont was proud to have three students honored:
Hannah Callaghan is a junior majoring in elementary education. She serves as a Raven Peer Leader, an active member of Campus Ministry, a member of the International Club, and a Peer Mentor in the First Year Connections Seminar. After graduation from Rosemont, Hannah hopes to either become a teacher in an elementary school or go to graduate school for speech therapy.
Anne Dubois, a junior majoring in studio art, serves the community as the President of the Theater Club, a Student Ambassador, and a Raven Peer Leader. After graduation, Anne plans to work for a fashion magazine as a layout and graphic designer.
Alvinder Raju, a transfer student from the Community College of Philadelphia, currently has senior status. He is a biology major. A resident of Philadelphia who has supported himself as a college student, Alvinder formerly served as a student teacher at St. Martins of Tour. After graduation from Rosemont, Alvinder looks forward to attending medical school.
The students and their families were joined at the reception by Dr. Christopher Dougherty, Provost, and Christyn Moran '94, Vice President of College Relations.
