M.A. Education

Option 1: M.A. in Education

This course of study prepares students to seek PDE Instructional I Certification in accordance with state requirements.

Option 2: M.A. in Education

This course of study prepares students to earn a M.A. in Education as a stand-alone degree, which is typically available to current/active classroom teachers only.

Option 3: Post-Baccalaureate PK-4 Certification

Rosemont College offers a PK-4 certification program. This course of study prepares students to earn a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Instructional I Certification (PK-4) in in accordance with state requirements for PK-4 settings.

Option 4: Act 48 Courses

Rosemont’s graduate education program offers its courses year-round due to the fact that educators must maintain their certificates in “active” status by earning six collegiate credits or six PDE-approved in-service credits or 180 continuing education hours or any combination of the above every five calendar years.  [Each college credit is equal to 30 continuing education hours.]  All coursework (credits and/or hours) must be directly related to the educator’s certification type, and/or area of assignment, unless enrolled in administrative program, and/or approved by the school board.

Tuition

All tuition charges for programs in the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies are assessed by the number of credit hours in which you enroll for a given semester. When creating your personal budget for your college expenses you will need to estimate costs for books, transportation, and other miscellaneous items. Student loan information is available through the Office of Financial Aid; questions regarding payments and payment plans should be directed to the Office of Student Accounts.
