I chose Rosemont because of the variety of classes offered. I had specific ideas about what I wanted to study in a graduate MFA, and Rosemont fit best. The class combinations that drew me to Rosemont were classes like Gothic Literature, Magical Realism, Tolkien, and Literary Theory. Other programs I looked at had maybe one or two classes like these but with less flexibility. As a graduate student investing lots of time and money in this education, I like being able to know faculty, participate in small classes where everyone knows me, and hear ideas from friends learning along with me. It’s a fun learning environment, and I won’t have passed through without making an impact of my own.
