A group of select panelists shared their thoughts on what it means to be an active citizen and the importance of engaging our communities on September 15th in celebration of National Constitution and Citizenship Day.

Featured panelist Dr. Matthew Hartley of the University of Pennsylvania (left) was joined by Dr. David Bell Mislan, moderator and Assistant Professor of Political Science;. Economics major Joshua Howell ’12; and Dr.Sarah Spangler, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies. Joining the panelist for a photo is President Hirsh (far right).

On September 2, the College welcomed local photographers Linda Johnson and Hinda Schuman to Lawrence Gallery. Their show, titled “The Pennsylvania Project” highlights the duo’s collaborative ongoing photographic study of the economic and cultural life of the Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.
