Participants choose 7 of 11 leadership sessions/speaker series throughout the academic year. The sessions help students learn a variety of skills that will be extremely useful in student organizations, in teams that are formed in class, in the workplace, and in life.
One of the sessions “Leadership 101” is an overview of the entire program and helps define the experience. This session is the only one that is MANDATORY and should be the first session attended.
Participants attend an energizing, fast-paced one-day workshop that teaches students how to work with “dynamic leadership relationships.” The first half of the workshop will help students understand the dynamics of working with a group. The second half of the workshop will begin an interesting and exciting group process that culminates in the creation of a program or event to benefit the campus community.
A free lunch is provided.
Upon completion of Steps 1 & 2, students will receive an “L.E.A.D. Leadership Program” completion certificate, have their names entered into the co-curricular database and receive an invitation to the end-of-year recognition ceremony.
