The Washington Middle School for Girls
About The Washington Middle School for Girls
This school was founded in 1998 by the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, the National Council of Negro Women, and the Religious of Jesus and Mary. The Washington Middle School for Girls (WMSG) provides tuition-free education to young girls in grades four through eight, who are at risk of leaving school prematurely and are living in an underserved area of Washington, DC. WMSG also offers a graduate support program to its graduates during high school.
WMSG needs volunteers to tutor individual and small groups of students, assist in the library during the school day, and take part in a spring clean-up project.
