Service

Why Service?

Besides being a distinct part of our mission, service is one of the best ways for a college student to transform their college experience from books and exams to real-world learning and real-world insight, all while embracing the philosophy of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. Service will enable you to meet new people, make new friends, push your boundaries, and use your unique talents and abilities to give back to the community and stand in solidarity with those on the fringes of our society. Service and social justice are inexorably bound, and we seek to not only to serve but also to question why our service is needed and how our actions impact the community around us.

The Cornelian Service Corps is the center for service and social justice at Rosemont College. We offer many unique volunteer opportunities and opportunities to learn about and engage in issues of social justice. Get involved with our programs, or share with us your own ideas and passions!

Service

Life is the time for fighting, for laboring, for heaping up.”
