The Clare Boothe Luce Award
RoConnections - April 4, 2017
The Clare Boothe Luce Award was established by Clare Booth Luce through her estate plans, "to encourage women to enter, study, graduate, and teach" in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering. Thanks to a generous grant from the Clare Boothe Luce Program, up to eight female students are supported as Clare Boothe Luce Research Scholars each year. Isabella Moraschi ‘20 is one of eight that is going to spend time this summer conducting research and will receive a stipend as well as funding for her work in the field.
When asked for her reaction upon notice of her selection, Isabella said, “I was shocked to hear that Prof. Perkinson and I would be receiving this research grant.” She added, “It is never something that I imagined and I am grateful for the opportunity. I hope to learn a lot this summer and I am excited to get started!”
