Spend an afternoon exploring the current feature exhibition at the
National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, and catching up with
Rosemont friends and classmates! The Alumni Office is pleased to offer a
special ticket price of $20.00 for an exclusive insider tour of
American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition.
A
museum expert will lead us back in time to an era of flappers and
suffragists, bootleggers and temperance workers, and real-life legends
like Al Capone and Carry Nation.
Spanning
from the dawn of the temperance movement, through the Roaring ’20s, to
the unprecedented repeal of a constitutional amendment, this
world-premiere exhibition brings the whole story of Prohibition vividly
to life.
Displays include flapper dresses, original ratification
copies of the 18th and 21st Amendments, a recreated speakeasy, films,
music, photos, and more.
