In June 2012, the members of the Rosemont College Board of Trustees completed a thorough review of our current Strategic Plan. After assessing what has been accomplished as well as what remains to be done, the Board confirmed that Rosemont is in a good position in this academic year to formulate a new Strategic Plan that will carry us through 2017-2018. Through this process, we will define our common vision for the future of the college, and plan how we will achieve that vision over the next five years. It is designed to be highly inclusive, and we are reaching out to the entire Rosemont community for input and participation.
To launch the new Strategic Plan, a kick-off event was held on campus in early September. More than 280 members of our community – students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and trustees – joined together to respond to key questions that will help inform this process. Based on this feedback, five areas were identified as the basis for work groups: Academics; Enrollment and Marketing; Financial Planning; Infrastructure; and Student Affairs.
A committee, comprised of 12 members of the college, identified the work group members and appointed their chairs. The work group chairs along with a broad range of representatives from within and beyond Rosemont have formed the steering committee, which will review, integrate, and endorse the overall strategic agenda to be presented to the Board of Trustees in May 2013.
