| Admissions Recruiter The Admissions Recruiter of the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies is responsible for increasing enrollment in all SGCS programs by establishing and maintaining relationships with potential students, from inquiry through matriculation. The Recruiter works with faculty directors, the Vice President for Marketing, and appropriate SGCS staff members on issues of outreach, marketing, and admissions to ensure steady enrollment. Qualifications: Candidates must have earned or be currently enrolled in courses toward a Masters degree in an academic area related to any program of graduate study or in business, marketing or related field; possess excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; demonstrated database management skills; ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and attain growth-oriented goals. This position will require some evening and weekend hours and the ability to travel to off-campus locations. |
| Assistant Professor - Mathematics, Full Time, Non-Tenure Track The Undergraduate Women's College at Rosemont College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin in August 2008. We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in teaching mathematics courses ranging from Developmental Math through Calculus III to support majors in the sciences, business, and the social sciences. The successful applicant will also each in the interdisciplinary Foundations of Scientific and Quantitative Reasoning in Rosemont's general education offering. Qualifications: A Master's Degree is required, Ph.D. is preferred. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable. The successful applicant will demonstrate potential for scholarship as defined by the Boyer method. | Coordinator of Academic Advising The Coordinator of Academic Advising holds primary responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of a coordinated advising system, including ongoing communication with Undergraduate Women's College faculty regarding advising functions and responsibilities. The Coordinator also designs and implements intensive and proactive performance coaching support for conditionally accepted, at-risk, and undecided students to support retention efforts. Candidates must have knowledge of undergraduate advising policies and practices, excellent organizational, communication, research and technology skills, and the ability to work with faculty, staff, and students. Some nights and weekends as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and Master's degree required in an appropriate discipline.
Experience in College level advising and/or learning assistance program
required. Supervisory experience a plus. |
| Director of Non-Credit Programs Full-time, year-round position. Creative self-starter needed to develop and manage non-credit liberal arts programs for Rosemont College. The Director of Non-Credit Programs is responsible for planning courses and events, maintaining communications with students and instructors, managing student registration for the courses, tracking program finances, making arrangements regarding audio-visual needs, and delegating tasks to facilities staff and caterers for special events. The Director will also manage publicity for the programs and create a viable brand identity for the programs. Current programs include courses for senior citizens, field trips, evening courses, professional development workshops, and one annual children’s event. The College is seeking a professional to expand the existing non-credit course offerings and develop a long-term strategy for their success. Qualifications: Candidates should possess a minimum of three years experience of curriculum
development or event planning; excellent verbal and writing skills;
proficiency in Microsoft Office; extensive and successful customer service
experience. |
| Director of Teacher Education Programs The Director of Teacher Education is responsible for all Undergraduate and Graduate Teacher Education programs and certificates at Rosemont College. The Director hires, trains and supervises adjunct faculty, carries out continuous program development, establishes new degree and certificate programs, including on-line programs, oversees student teaching placements and student teaching supervision, liaises with local school districts to build strong partnerships, increases student admissions and retention, provides advising for teacher education students, and acts as the campus certification officer with the PDE. The Director will teach in the program on both graduate and undergraduate levels. Qualifications: A Doctorate and Pennsylvania Secondary or Educational Leadership certification are required. Previous school-based experience, including P-12 classroom teaching and/or leadership is necessary. The successful candidate will have demonstrated best practices in teacher development along with the capacity to create strong partnerships with regional school districts and higher education institutions. Candidates must possess supervisory experience and the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships among higher education personnel, school-based personnel, and teacher candidates. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, success with program development and experience with online instructional program development. Higher Education teaching/ program development experience and knowledge of Pennsylvania certification regulations and/or PDE relationships is preferred. |
| Major Gifts Officer The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for the identification, solicitation, and closure of prospects for outright gifts at the $10,000 level and above. The successful candidate will raise commitments for approved College priorities such as: Capital Projects, Endowment, Current Operations, etc., and develop an annual program in collaboration with the President and the Vice President of College Relations that incorporates both activity and income. She/he will work aggressively to streamline the major gift process and build effective partnerships with Development colleagues responsible for data operations, research, and annual giving. The candidate will coordinate record keeping and reporting with both internal and external concerns so as to ensure that the flow of information is handled efficiently and smoothly among members of the Development team. She/he will assume primary responsibility for all "behind-the-scenes" activities related to the successful solicitation and closure of major gifts as well as effectively work with the Development team to shrink the timelines associated with the major gift process. She/he will develop and maintain a travel schedule to personally visit numerous prospects monthly and attend all major on-Campus functions, including, but not limited to: Reunion and Commencement Weekends, Honors Convocation, and Board of Trustee meetings and retreats; as well as regional alumni event activities and all fundraising events. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to persuasively represent the College's goals. The candidate must also: demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed goals; effectively handle multiple priorities; be a proven self-starter, able to take appropriate initiative to ensure success; have a successful track record (minimum of three years in higher education development or transferable experience applicable to raising major and planned gifts); and work well as a part of a team. Previous knowledge of planned giving is desirable, and a basic understanding of relational databases and computer systems is a plus. |
| Public Safety Officer (Part Time): Rosemont College has an immediate Part-Time position for a Public Safety Officer. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, enforce College rules and regulations, and protect life and property within the College Community. Uphold laws of the Commonwealth. Primarily, assigned vehicle, foot, or bicycle patrol. Qualifications: Candidates should have prior campus security or law enforcement experience desired. Must possess good interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities. Must submit to a background check including criminal history. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be in good physical condition to respond to emergencies and handle criminal incidents in accordance with other officers of Campus Safety. Must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. |
