Keynote Speaker: Evelyn Tucker
Senior Lecturer & Research Scholar at Yale University

Mary Evelyn Tucker will speak about the multi-media project “Journey of the Universe,” which she worked on together with her colleague, evolutionary philosopher Brian Swimme. The project includes an Emmy award winning film which weaves a tapestry that draws together scientific discoveries with humanistic insights concerning the nature of the universe and the role of human beings in responding to our present environmental challenges.

Diane Philips will speak about the current science on climate change and how individuals, organizations, and communities everywhere can be inspired to take action. A member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, Professor Philips has been speaking, writing, and doing research on sustainability for over 20 years.

Jim Merkel is the author of Radical Simplicity: Small Footprints on a Finite Earth, which offers a path to deeply sustainable way of living respectfully for all life. He directs the Global Living Project that consults with campuses and municipalities and offers workshops and lectures.
