Steven M. Alessandri

Associate Professor of Psychology, Undergraduate College

Steven M. Alessandri earned his doctorate in Clinical and Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Marshall University, and his B.A. from Villanova University. Dr. Alessandri is both a licensed and school certified psychologist and has held academic, research, and clinical appointments at several universities, medical schools, and mental health settings. He has written numerous scholarly papers and publications in the areas of infant and child development, child and adult psychopathology, and education. Dr. Alessandri has over 25 years of clinical experience providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Francis “Brig” Bowe holds a B.S. in Economics and an MBA from Villanova as well as certification as a Leader of Managers from the Wharton School. He began his career after his undergraduate studies as an entrepreneur running a small contract painting business for seven years. Prior he was a senior marketing manager at Unisys Corporation where he managed a global portfolio of over $100M of annualized revenues. Brig has experience teaching higher education courses in management, finance, economics, MIS, and organizational development courses in multiple delivery formats. He came to Rosemont most recently from Cabrini College where he served as the managing supervisor of the Master’s degree in Organization Leadership.

Sister Jeanne Marie Hatch holds a B.S. in Secondary Education from Villanova University, a master's degree in Theology/Religious Studies from La Salle University, and a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry/Spirituality from Neumann College, PA.  Sister Jeanne Marie came to Rosemont in 2004 after 10 years as Vocation Director for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and 37 years in Holy Child Schools.  After teaching for 10 years, she administered schools in Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC, Pasadena, CA and Old Westbury, NY from 1967 until 1995.  

Adam Lusk, Assistant Professor of Political Science

Adam Lusk is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Rosemont College. He earned his B.A. in Politics from Ursinus College, his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from New York University and Temple University, respectively. Professor Lusk teaches courses in International Relations and Comparative Politics and his research interests include international security, threat perception, and norms and ethics in International Relations. His current work focuses on debates about U.S. foreign policy in order to understand how war becomes justified. He has also published on pedagogy and active learning in the political science classroom.

Michelle Moravec, Associate Professor of History

Michelle Moravec

Associate Professor of History

Michelle Moravec graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in History and English, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in history. Her area of specialization is American history, and her research focuses on movements for social change. Before coming to Rosemont College, she served as the assistant director of the women’s leadership program at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. She has taught numerous leadership courses, and has a particular interest in students’ applications of ethical leadership. Dr. Moravec has presented at numerous academic conferences, and is the author of several articles and books.
