Caitlen Rubino-Bradway '03, an English major alumna, published her second book
Ordinary Magic (Bloomsbury USA) in May 2012. Caitlen is also the author of
Lady Vernon and Her Daughter (Crown Publishing Group, 2009) along with her mother, Jane Rubino.
Caitlen said, "I was inspired to write the book while I was in college, heading back to Rosemont after a late-night screening of
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Rosemont English majors - present, but especially past - might recognize the influence of our professors in some of the characters."

Greatest Hits & B-Sides (Vagabondage Press), an electronic chapbook of poetry, in April 2012. Ben received the Charles James O'Donnell Award for Creative Writing at Rosemont's annual Stroll Through the Arts event in May 2012.

Ru Freeman’s story “Sleeping Alone” appeared in the spring 2012 issue of
Virginia Quarterly Review. Her interviews with writers including Chang-Rae Lee and Cheryl Strayed, and articles on writing and the literary life, continue to appear in the “Books” section of the Huffington Post.
J. C. Todd, adjunct professor of graduate creative writing, published a poem “
Bud” in the feature “Big Trees” in Big Bridge 16, guest-edited by Thomas Devaney.
Dr. Louis Tenaglia, professor of graduate education, recently began writing a blog for the Huffington Post. His first post, "Why Do Kids Ignore What I Say?" appeared on January 5, 2012.
