  • Mary Evelyn Tucker Named Commencement Speaker

    This year's commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient is Mary Evelyn Tucker.

    A graduate of a Holy Child high school, Mary Evelyn Tucker is a senior lecturer and research scholar at Yale University where she has appointments in the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies as well as the Divinity School and the Department of Religious Studies.

    Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School started their college partnership program in the fall of 2012 and it has more than doubled since that time. This fall, Rosemont College joined them to offer their students a college art program on Saturday mornings.

    Philadelphia Business Journal has announced that Sharon L. Hirsh, president of Rosemont College, has been honored as a 2013 Women of Distinction award recipient. The region’s most dynamic women will be recognized on Tuesday, November 19.

  • Rosemont College Science Students Receive Honors

    Rosemont College students, Saarah Hussain and Hailey Summa, accompanied by their mentor Dr. Aikaterini Skokotas, received second prize at the 16th Annual Research Symposium in the Chemical and Biological Sciences.

  • Against the Odds: A Tribute to Sande Webster Gallery

    Lawrence Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit “AGAINST THE ODDS A TRIBUTE TO SANDE WEBSTER GALLERY” on display November 7, 2013 to January 9, 2014. An opening reception will take place November 7 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., and Sande Webster and various artists will talk at 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

  • Jane Golden Named 2013 Presidential Lecturer

    Jane Golden, founder of the Philadelphia Mural Arts program, will be the featured speaker at Rosemont College’s annual Presidential Lecture Series, scheduled for Thursday, September 19, at 7 P.M. Golden’s lecture, which is free and open to the public, is titled "A Conversation with Jane Golden: Public Art and Social Change."

  • Jonathan Beer, Sandra Gottlieb, and Martin Weinstein Exhibit Opens

    Lawrence Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit featuring the paintings and photographs of Jonathan Beer, Sandra Gottlieb, and Martin Weinstein. “The Landscape Revisited” will be on display September 6 - 27, 2013. An opening reception will take place September 12 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., with an artist’s talk at 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to all.

  • Chiddick Named Dean of Students

    Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Chris Dougherty has announced the appointment of Troy Chiddick as Dean of Students for the Undergraduate College at Rosemont College. The Dean of Students is responsible for non-academic areas of student life in the undergraduate college.

    The Princeton Review named Rosemont College one of the best colleges in the Northeast while also being named a College of Distinction. Further, AffordableCollegesOnline ranked Rosemont as a college having one of the highest lifetime return on investment in Pennsylvania.

  • Rosemont Installs Full Gray Synthetic Turf Field - 1st in Conference

    Amid the growl of Caterpillar® tractors, the Rosemont College campus is undergoing a transformation the likes of which it hasn't seen in years. It is also a first for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) and the only known fully gray field in the United States.
