Rosemont College is excited to announce the 2013 Writers' Retreat. This year the retreat offers students either a weekend, weeklong or combination session. The workshops are also available for graduate college credit.

The weekend session will be an intensive three days of workshopping and discussion beginning on Friday evening (June 21) and ending at noon on Sunday (June 23).

During the weeklong session (beginning June 23), days will begin with an elective yoga practice. At noon there will be a craft lecture and interview with a well-known author. Afternoons will be spent in an intense three-hour workshop run by an instructor who is not only an accomplished writer in his or her own right, but also an experienced teacher.

Workshops will be limited to no more than 10 participants, ensuring that each author will have plenty of critique time. Nightly faculty readings and receptions, along with an open mic, will offer plenty of networking opportunities, but the emphasis will be on immersing yourself in the writing life and your own work.

* Please note: some instructors may request advance copies of the work you wish to use during the workshop.
